The government says it will bear all the expenses for the medical treatment of Rastrakabi Madhav Prasad Ghimire.
Visiting the poet at the Tokha-based Grande International Hospital on Monday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that the government would cover all the costs of his treatment.
The Prime Minister further expressed his commitment to sending Ghimire abroad for treatment if needed in the government’s cost.
“Prime Minister Oli directed the doctors and hospital authorities to leave no stones unturned for the treatment of Ghimire and asked the poet to keep up the willpower,” informed PM’s press coordinator Chetan Adhikari.
Ghimire was admitted to the Hospital after he reported that he was unwell. He has been receiving treatment at the High Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital after internal bleeding.
He has been suffering from heart, kidney and liver-related ailments for past three months.
